What Tom Elliott thinks of the state government’s ‘massive U-turn’ on gas

Tom Elliott has weighed in on the state government’s “massive U-turn” on gas to start his program today.

Premier Jacinta Allan has announced a new “Economic Growth Statement” which includes the need for gas and more exploration for gas in Victoria.

“I would’ve thought it might be a little bit too little too late,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

Victorian Greens MP for Brunswick, Dr Tim Read, told Tom Elliott he was “surprised and disappointed” to hear the Premier had changed her tune on gas.

“Fast-tracking gas is exactly the wrong way to go,” Dr Read said on 3AW Mornings.
