The second leaders’ debate between Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton on Wednesday night has been met with “mixed opinions” by the experts and newspapers.

Both leaders had some good and bad moments, as federal political correspondent for Nine newspapers Paul Sakkal unpacked the main takeaways from the debate.

“I thought last night was a worthy and interesting debate in some ways, but I’d like to maybe see a bit more of a brawl and some actual cross conversation between the two,” Mr Sakkal told Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.
