The Australian Electoral Commission has announced the electoral seat of Higgins will be abolished at the next election with Western Australia to gain a seat in Perth’s outer east.
Director of the Redbridge Group, Kos Samaras says Victoria losing a seat was not surprising but he was expecting it to be a different seat.
“In terms of where that loss was going to occur, it was always going to be in that part of Melbourne,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
