Former VFL player, AFL coach and proud Tasmanian Rodney Eade has spoken on what needs to be done for a Tasmanian team to thrive in the AFL.

Tasmania looks set to become the 19th AFL club with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expected to announce up to $240 million in federal funding for a new stadium in Hobart’s Macquarie Point.

Eade stated there needs to be a balance between games in Hobart and Launceston in order for a Tasmanian team to succeed if they become the next AFL club.
