What Peter Ford and Tom Elliott thought of Marty Sheargold’s Matildas comments
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford and 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott have both shared their thoughts on radio host and comedian Marty Sheargold’s comments on the Matildas.
Sheargold has since been axed from Triple M, but Ford thought his comments about endometriosis were “far more offensive” than what he said about the women’s national soccer team.
“Every so often something stupid is going to come out of your mouth, that’s just the reality,” Ford told Ross and Russel.

The 3AW Mornings host then weighed in on the story later in the morning, stating Sheargold’s words were “ill-chosen”.
He further commented how it’s okay to criticise sports you do not find interesting, but thought the now axed radio host made a mistake when he “belittled” the Matildas.
