‘What dreams are made of’: AFL set for tantalising 40-year first in 2024

Matthew Richardson believes the AFL could be set for a 40-year first in 2024, which would see some of the biggest clubs in the competition square off against each other in September.

The Richmond great has been hard at work doing the ladder predictor ahead of Round 16, and said he’s tipping three Victorian powerhouses to finish in the top four for the first time since 1984.

“This is the stuff that dreams are made of for the AFL,” Sam McClure said on Wide World of Sports.
