Former Melbourne player David Schwarz has weighed in on the suspensions handed down to Toby Bedford and Charlie Cameron for dangerous tackles, which has caused uproar in the AFL community.

Schwarz told Tom Elliott the AFL “can’t be focused the outcome of the tackle” but rather the technique of the tackle which has to be able to change.

“In five years time, this game is going to look a hell of a lot different if we don’t fix it,” he said on 3AW Mornings.
