What Brad Battin had to say on latest Moira Deeming development

State opposition leader Brad Battin has commented on the fresh report on Moira Deeming this morning, with multiple candidates reportedly preparing to challenge for her number one position on the Western Metro upper house ticket.

Pre-selections begin shortly after the federal election, with one source telling the Herald Sun “Moira has lost the support of the faction that elected her”.

But Battin has told Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings it’s news to him.

“I can’t really speak on behalf of all the factions but Moira is doing the work out there,” the state opposition leader said.

“This happens all the time, we have an open and honest democratic situation where people can run.”
