“What a dirtbag” | Man wanted over disgusting grand final day assault

Police are on the hunt for a man wanted over a disgusting assault in an elevator at Collingwood on grand final morning.

Police have been told the victim, a 56-year-old man, was in the lift of the Hoddle Street apartment block around 7.50am on September 29.

Three men entered the lift before one of them punched the victim in what was an unprovoked attack.

One man, a 28-year-old, is assisting police with their enquiries this afternoon.

The victim sustained multiple facial injuries including swelling and bruising.
