‘We’ve always struggled’: VACC boss takes issue with the work from home model
Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce CEO, Geoff Gwilym, has said the industry is struggling to find apprentices for trades due to more businesses adopting the work from home model.
Mr Gwilym claims the automotive industry are 35,000 short for technicians nationally, and he can’t see the situation getting any easier.
“I think it’s a massive challenge for us moving ahead,” Mr Gwilym told Tom Elliott.
