Welfare bill our biggest budget problem: Pauline Hanson

Ross Greenwood speaks to Senator Pauline Hanson about the ABCC bill, the budget and returning to Canberra after a near 20 year absence.

The cross-benchers in the senate will be vital for support in repairing the budget.

Speaking about the budget, Hanson says the government’s spending is ‘out of control’ and it needs to be pulled back.

Ms Hanson says the biggest issue is an ever increasing welfare bill.

‘Until we reign in our welfare budget, we have got huge problems,’ Hanson said.

‘What makes me mad about this, is we have struggling families… Yet we have bureaucrats that are on nearly $1 million a year.’

‘I’m not happy about this.’
