Weird, whacky and worrying: What people are dumping in the Yarra River

Dozens of bikes, shopping trolleys, traffic cones, laundry baskets and tyres were just some of the items pulled from the Yarra River on Friday morning.

It’s reignited calls for people to treat Melbourne’s main waterway with more respect.

Anthony Despotellis, Litter Project Officer at the Yarra Riverkeepers, spoke about the issue with Dee Dee on Tuesday.
