AFL CEO Andrew Dillon says the league will continue to look at mechanisms which could help diagnose serious injuries such as a ruptured spleen in real time.

Christian Petracca has spent time in ICU this week after leaving the field on King’s Birthday after a late knock to his ribs, which later was confirmed to be a lacerated spleen, punctured lung and multiple broken ribs.

“I’m really glad to hear he’s on the mend,” Dillon said about Petracca on 3AW.
