Melbourne lord mayor Nicholas Reece has flagged “significant” changes to e-scooters, with the City of Melbourne putting e-scooter providers on notice ahead of their next council meeting.

Next Tuesday, the council will be considering a proposal for an overhaul of the rules and regulations that apply to e-scooters.

“We are fed up,” Reece told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.

Lord mayoral candidate Arron Wood then responded to Reece’s plans, stating it’s a “halfway house of measures”

“It doesn’t go far enough,” Wood said.
