‘Watch this space’: The two players who could land at Carlton with prized pick three

Carlton has pulled off an almighty draft heist, landing pick three in this year’s daft in a three-club deal involving West Coast and Richmond.

The trade sees Matt Owies and Liam Baker find a new home at the Eagles, while other picks also change hands.

Attention is now turning to the type of player which the Blues will look to target in what’s expected to be a bumper draft crop in 2024, with Matthew Lloyd nominating two specific players they should look to bring in.

“Pick three is hard to get,” Lloyd said on 3AW.

“West Coast have Harley Reid, should they have just added the third best young kid in Australia from a bumper draft? We’ll watch this space who Carlton get.”
