‘Waste of money’: Doctor sounds alarm on the GP payroll tax

Deputy Chair of the Australian GP Alliance, Dr Mukesh Haikerwal, has detailed the grim outlook facing general practices in light of the new payroll tax implemented by the state government.

Dr Haikerwal is still trying to wrap his head around the tax and labelled it a “waste of money”.

He also claimed he knows many practices which are likely to close by Christmas due to the rising fees at the clinics.
