VIDEO: Truck takes out street sign with large piece of steel hanging off the back

A truck with its load hanging off the back has taken out tree branches and a street sign on the Mornington Peninsula.

Witness Scott told 3AW he saw the truck this morning along Dundas Street in Rye.

“He was driving with a large piece of steel frame protruding from the side,” Scott said.

“He continued driving up Dundas Street, taking out trees as he went.

“He took out the roundabout sign with the A-Frame sticking out.

“But if there was any cyclists or kids going to school, he would have chopped them in half at that speed.”
