The town of Charlton says it has been ignored by the State Emergency Service with another devastating flood on its hands.

“The SES are missing in action,” Daryl Warren, Mayor of Buloke Shire, told Neil Mitchell on Friday.

He said he feared it was going to be “2011 again” – where floodwater consumed the town on the Avoca River.

National Party MP Dr Anne Webster is the local member for the Mallee and said it was incredibly disappointing the town felt deserted.

“They are really concerned,” she said.
