Ombudsman SLAMS Daniel Andrews over reaction to scathing IBAC report

Victoria’s Ombudsman has taken Daniel Andrews and his office to task over findings in the Operation Daintree report.

Operation Daintree was an investigation by IBAC into the Andrews government, which found the Premier and his office had influenced health department officials to award a training contract to the Health Workers Union.

Deborah Glass hit out at the Premier who suggested the report was “educational”.

“I think it says a lot about the Premier’s views on corruption and integrity,” she told Neil Mitchell.

“It was not an educational report, it was a damning report.”

The Ombudsman also tackled the issue of complaints towards council, in particular the Glen Eira City Council.
