Victorian healthcare workers being attacked, assaulted and abused at ‘disturbing’ rate

Victorian healthcare workers are increasingly at risk of being attacked and abused at work.

The state secretary of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation said it was a growing problem.

“It’s very disturbing, but unfortunately we seem to have a proportion of the community who are very disrespectful, very angry, very abusive and very violent towards those that are trying to care for them,” Lisa Fitzpatrick said on 3AW Drive.
