Victoria WON’T be involved in Barry Humphries’ memorial service
Victoria will not be involved in the memorial service for Barry Humphries, despite an announcement from the Prime Minister that the service would be co-hosted by the federal government, NSW government and Victorian government.
When Anthony Albanese made the announcement earlier this month, entertainment reporter Peter Ford labelled it “very odd” and said the family had requested Victoria not be involved in the service because of a gripe with Daniel Andrews.

“The family were simply reflecting Barry’s wishes,” Peter Ford said.
The state memorial service will be held at the Sydney Opera House on December 15. It will be co-hosted by the Australian and NSW governments.
