Melbourne is set to be the first city in the world to introduce front-facing AI powered cameras on the entire fleet of e-scooters, which will be referred to as ‘ScootSafe Vision’.

Chief Executive Officer of Victoria Walks, Ben Rossiter, has taken issue with the new technology and told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive he’s seen “little change” in the behaviour of e-scooter riders.

“There’s a big difference between what the technology is capable of, and how it’s used,” Mr Rossiter said.
