Victoria Walks CEO argues why speed limits on some roads should be reduced to 30km/h

Yarra City Council will vote tonight to make almost all of two key Melbourne suburbs a 30km/h speed limit.

Pedestrian advocacy group Victoria Walks is also pushing for a reduction in speed limits across the state’s municipalities.

Victoria Walks CEO, Dr Ben Rossiter, says it’s “really about making our streets safer and giving more people travel options to get around”.
