Victoria to lose a federal lower house seat
Victoria will lose a federal lower house seat at the next federal election.
It follows an Electoral Commission Review which found our population dwindled during the COVID-19 pandemic.
New South Wales will also lose a seat, while Western Australia will gain one.
It’s not yet known which Victorian electorate will be scrapped, but scrutiny is on the seats with the lowest enrolments and static populations.
