Victoria Police responds to attack in London
Victoria Police has promised a visible presence at events this weekend in the wake of the Manchester attack.
While the terror threat level hasn’t changed, Assistant Commissioner Stephen Leane told 3AW Drive police wanted to ensure Victorians felt safe.
“We’ll push as many of those visible resources as we can out to the front of venues and arenas and railway stations to make sure we’re doing everything can to keep an eye on the crowd as they approach,” he said.
“If we can get them in safely, then hopefully we have a safe event.”
