Victoria Police recruit caught drink-driving at Cranbourne West

A budding police officer has been caught drink-driving overnight.

The female trainee returned a positive reading while driving in Cranbourne West shortly after 8.30pm on Sunday night.

She returned a reading of 0.058 and was issued with a penalty notice for drink driving. 

Victoria Police said Professional Standards Command had been notified of the incident.
