Veteran paramedic retires after 25 years

A paramedic with 25 years of experience has retired from the Ambulance Victoria airwing.

Colin Carty has helped save thousands of people during his lengthy emergency service career, and spent his final shift searching for a missing swimmer near the Otways.

“I sort of fell into the job back in the ’80s and … it just took me into the most wonderful places. I’ve worked with some incredible people,” he told Ross and Russel.
