‘Very rich’: Jacqui Lambie’s strong words over plans for new Tasmanian AFL stadium

Senator Jacqui Lambie had some strong words for the AFL and the Tasmanian government on 3AW Mornings over plans for a new stadium in Hobart.

Lambie told Tony Jones it’s “very rich” to say the stadium should be in Hobart, and has an alternative solution for the AFL and state government.

“The state of Tasmania cannot afford this bloody stadium and that’s the truth of the matter,” she said.

“When people go to Hobart, they go down to football games, they very rarely leave that area, and the rest of Tasmania doesn’t get much out of that.”
