Vegemite hauled off shelves as Canada starts unique culture war

An importer of Vegemite to Canada has been ordered to take it off the shelves, causing a culture war between the two countries.
Canada’s food authority has deemed the infamous Australian spread as not meeting health regulations due to the level of vitamins in the product.
Bega Group EGM Darryn Wallace told 3AW Drive Canada’s regulations were proving to be a unique challenge for the distributor.

“It’s an unusual thing,” he told Heidi Murphy.
“We’ve never had this challenge in any other country before.”
