Man in custody after high speed police chase across Melbourne’s south-east
A man is believed to be in custody after a high speed police chase across Melbourne’s south east, after an earlier report of up to a dozen police cars chasing a ute on the Nepean Highway in Glen Huntly and was first seen at Fawkner Park in South Yarra.

Many eyewitnesses also saw the ute speeding and hitting multiple parked cars.

A Brighton street has been blocked off due to the police operation, with New Street closed in both directions between North Road and Martin Street.
Callers John and Jeff were eyewitnesses and informed Ross and Russ on the incident earlier this morning.
