United Firefighters Union set for industrial action in coming days

The United Firefighters Union is set for industrial action starting on Thursday with firefighters wanting a significant pay rise of 25.9 per cent over three years from the state government.

Secretary of the United Firefighters Union, Peter Marshall, spoke to Tom Elliott on the tensions between the firefighters union and the state government.

“Our slogan is firefighter safety is community safety, this government just simply does not get that,” Mr Marshall said.
