Around 6000 students at Melbourne University have been unable to attend classes today as pro-Palestinian protests continue.

Chief operating officer at the Jewish Community Council Victoria, Naomi Levin, says Jewish students are becoming increasingly distressed as the pro-Palestine encampments, and protests continue.

“It’s not that students are not feeling safe … they’re staying at home and not attending classes, it’s an unacceptable situation,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
