Uber users could be slugged, as Victorian government considers taxi compensation

Uber users could soon be slugged an extra dollar for every ride to help compensate the taxi industry.

It’s one of a number of options being considered by the government as it moves to legalise the controversial ride sharing service.

The Herald Sun reports that compensation remains the major hurdle in reaching a decision.
