Two women arrested after crashing allegedly stolen car on Kings Way

Two women are in custody after crashing a stolen car on the tram tracks of Kings Way at South Melbourne.

Police say they’d been monitoring the vehicle since spotting it being driven erratically at Hoppers Crossing around 3am on Friday.

The women, aged 26 and 31, were arrested on foot shortly after the crash around 5am.
