Two police officers charged following IBAC investigation

Two Victoria Police officers have been charged with 23 offences, following an IBAC investigation into alleged fraud involving vacant properties.

They’ve charged an inspector and sergeant on a range of alleged offences including perjury, misconduct in public office, obtaining property by deception and theft.

The matter relating to the sergeant is scheduled to commence at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 26 while proceedings for the inspector will take place at Geelong Magistrates’ Court in February next year.
