Two homes gutted in separate blazes at Campbellfield and Alphington

Two houses have been gutted in separate blazes overnight.

A panicked neighbour raised the alarm in Somerset Road Campbellfield around a 1.45am on Friday.

No-one was inside at the time, police are treating the blaze as suspicious.

Meanwhile a vacant home in Alphington has also been gutted by fire around 4am.

Fire investigators expected to attend later this morning.
