Two drivers dead in shocking night on Victorian roads
Two young drivers are dead, a woman is fighting for her life and a third person is in a serious condition after two separate crashes overnight.

The horror night began when a car hit a tree off Cheltenham Road in Dandenong about 9pm.
The young driver of that vehicle died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
One of the passengers, a woman believed to be aged in her 20s, has been flown to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
Another passenger – also a young woman – is in the Royal Melbourne hospital in a serious condition.
Just a few hours later, the state’s road toll rose to 49 when a car hit a tree in Nathalia in northern Victorian.
The driver, believed to be aged in his late teens, died at the scene
His passenger, a man aged in his late 40s, suffered minor injuries.
Traffic is off to a bad start in Melbourne this morning, with several prangs on major roads.
There’s not yet reports of injuries.
