Horrific fatal collision between truck and car on the Melba Highway

A vehicle and a truck have collided along the Melba Highway in Glenburn this morning, resulting in the car bursting into flames with the driver and sole occupant dying at the scene.

The collision occurred at 7:40am this morning with the deceased yet to be formally identified.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
