Two 15-year-olds arrested after pursuit through Melbourne’s south-east

Two 15-year-olds are in custody following a pursuit in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.

A Kia Sportage was seen driving erratically on several occasions on Wednesday night.

The air-wing spotted the vehicle speeding on the South Gippsland Highway at Dandenong at about 2.20am.

The Kia is believed to have been stolen from the carpark of an aquatic centre in Ringwood on Sunday.

The airwing monitored the vehicle to Cranbourne where officers deployed stop sticks.

It’s alleged the 15-year-old girl who was driving continued to drive until the car’s engine gave out in Cranbourne West.

Police arrested the girl, along with her 15-year-old male passenger.

Both teenagers are in police custody.
