Truck bursts into flames following smash on Ring Road

A timber truck erupted in flames on the M80 Ring Road, just before the Calder Freeway, at about 11.30am, after colliding with a van.

All Greensborough-bound lanes have been closed between Keilor Park Drive and the Calder Freeway.

Emergency crews are at the scene.

The fire has now been extinguished.

Sadly, it’s believed a person died in the horror crash.
