Treasurer admits the speed of Australia’s economic recovery has surprised him

The Treasurer says the speed of Australia’s economic recovery has caught everyone by surprise.

Hundred of thousands of jobs have been restored, driving unemployment down to 5.6 per cent.

The jobless rate is now sitting just above pre-pandemic levels.

Josh Frydenberg says expert advice warned it could have been far higher.
