Essendon football boss Dan McPherson has shed more light on the nature of Nik Cox’s current injury battles, saying he’s “treading water” in his recovery from concussion.

The winger was left concussed at training late last year and hasn’t been able to recover in recent months.

“He’s having a little bit of an issue with the concussion and he hasn’t been able to shake (the symptoms),” McPherson told Wide World of Sports.
