Transport Association boss names road he thinks is Victoria’s worst
As many as 15 major roads and highways across Victoria have been likened to those of a third world country and the Victorian Transport Association chief says there’s one road that stands out to him as the state’s worst.
Road resurfacing contractor VSA Roads is angry at the decision by the Department of Transport to slash $120 million intended for road surfacing — a proactive road maintenance measure — in order to fund urgent repairs.
Victorian Transport Association chief Peter Anderson told Neil Mitchell which road he thinks is the state’s worst.

“We aren’t talking about little potholes here. We’re talking about fractures in the road that are the size of your dining table and bigger again, and are over a foot deep,” he said.
“We actually need some structural renovation of a lot of our major arterial roads around regional Victoria.”
