Train link to Melbourne Airport back on the agenda, with funding in federal budget

A train link to the airport is back on the agenda.

Next month’s federal budget will include funding for the new line.

The Herald Sun reports the Prime Minister’s committed to a multi-year rail funding package.

That package also includes upgrades to the Bairnsdale, Wodonga and Warrnambool railway lines.

The money is coming back to Victoria as part of the asset recycling program, for the lease of the Port of Melbourne.
