Hoddle street reopened after collision between car and tram

A car collided with a tram at the intersection of Victoria Parade and Hoddle Street.

Traffic was brought to a stand-still when the incident occurred shortly after 10am on Wednesday.

One person from the car involved was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

All lanes southbound and westbound were closed, but have since been reopened.

3AW listener Annette was in the area when the crash happened.

“There wasn’t much left of the white car,” Annette told Neil Mitchell.
