First domino of deadline day falls
To kick off deadline day, Chad Wingard’s move to Hawthorn was confirmed, seeing young gun Ryan Burton return to his native South Australia to play at Port Adelaide.
The Power also gained pick 15, 35 and a future fourth-round pick in the deal, with the Hawks gaining a future third-round pick as well as Chad Wingard in the deal.
Lachie Neale a Lion
Lachie Neale was the next major player to move on the final day, with the former Docker officially become a Lion.
Freo traded him and pick 30 to the Lions for picks 6, 19 and 55.
Hogan makes move to Fremantle
Just five days after Peter Bell walked away from negotiations, Jesse Hogan has been traded to Fremantle.
Hogan and pick 65 were traded to the Dockers, with the Dees receiving pick 6 and 23 in return.
Flurry of deals to end the 2018 trade period
It was a manic final hour of the trade period.
Dylan Shiel joined Essendon after long negotiations that dragged into the final hour, Dayne Beams returned to Collingwood while Marcus Adams sealed his desired move to Brisbane.
Jordan Roughead landed at Collingwood from the Western Bulldogs while Travis Colyer exited the Bombers for Fremantle.
Tim Kelly failed in his bid to move to the Eagles and will play out the 2019 season at Geelong.
