Tony Shaw has weighed in on the controversial final moments of Gold Coast’s 11-point win over Essendon Sunday night.

With the Bombers pushing in the frantic final stages, Jye Caldwell was pinged for holding the ball and then gave away a 50m penalty which led to the game-defining goal.

“He wasn’t tackled,” Shawry said on 3AW Football.

“It never stuck and Touk Miller was going so hard that he fell over after it.”
