Tony Shaw happy to write off horror Melbourne performance as ‘outlier’

Tony Shaw says he’s willing to write off Melbourne’s 92-point smashing at the hands of Fremantle as merely an ‘outlier’ in their season.

The Demons lost by the biggest margin in Simon Goodwin’s time coaching the club, but Shawry says the performance was so bad it shouldn’t be used to judge their overall form.

“I thought it was an outlier,” Shaw said on Wide World of Sports.
