Tony Shaw calls out ’embarrassing and ‘juvenile’ Chris Scott comment

Collingwood legend Tony Shaw has called out an “embarrassing” comment made by Chris Scott about West Coast Oscar Allen’s now infamous meeting with Hawthorn coach Sam Mitchell.

Scott called on people to “grow up” after Allen’s meeting with Mitchell became headline news.

Shaw said Scott needed to “climb down” the ivory tower and understand the proper context behind how Allen’s ill-fated meeting was perceived.

“It was really embarrassing that he said it,” he said on 3AW Football.

“It’s really juvenile to think that anybody can’t think about free agency (who was born) before the 2000s.”
