It came after Ms Ley claimed that Anzac Day could come under threat if the referendum was passed.

“The scope of the Voice as described by the Prime Minister is deliberately undefined,” she said on 3AW Mornings.
“So that means the Prime Minister can’t rule out that the Voice has the de facto veto rule on, for example, our national days of commemoration such as Australia Day or Anzac Day.”
This prompted a fiery response from Tony Jones.
“My view is that we, as Australians, and the Indigenous Australians, the First Nations, everyone in Australia, deserves better from Anthony Albanese in terms of the transparency of this.
“But, I’ve got to say Sussan, I think we also deserve better from you and your party to not scaremonger.
“And once you start throwing things like Anzac Day in the mix, then I think that’s a form of scaremongering.”
